John Morrissey

John M 2.jpg
  • Clan: Brujah antitribu
  • Position: Ductus
  • Faction: Moderates (Commissar)
  • Status: 2 (Positional), 5 (Reputational)
  • Background: Old Smoke, as he had been called deafted all those who opposed him. First in the gangs, then the streets, and finally the politics of New York as he was elected it’s senator. Though unknown to him, his rise and support came from forces outside his own understanding at the time. Ecaterina the Wise, Bishop of New York had become moved by the passion of this man, slowly she guided his life and eventually when the time was right took him as one of her childer. At first John took the embrace as a new challenge to overcome. He stayed with his sire, learning all he could. He learned his old rival William Poole had been turned into a Cainite like himself. Dead set on defeating him once again, John struck out on his own, and taking a page from Bill’s book began to embrace his Dead Rabbits to form his own pack. Before he knew it, John had gained a following not unlike William’s own, though he had chosen the young moderates movement. The two clashed nightly and vied for power among the packs of new york. When the New York City draft Riots had occurred, John used it as the moment to make his move and defeat Bill the Butcher once again. Unfortunately, while the two forces met under the auspice of the riot, Cannon fire was not something John had planned for. After his fall into torpor, Ecaternia was quick to but in her vicissituded Gramaldi double to make sure she maintined her influence and the mortal world never knew of the true fate of Jonh. John, like William, had been laid into torpor. However, John stole another page from Bill’s book. Also preparing for this outcome, John had used his mastery of Presence and Auspex to allow him to continue to exist in a semi torpor like state. For years the packs of the city have been subtly influenced by the force of these two even to this day. Now John rises again, ready to begin again and overcome yet another challenge in his existence.

Pack Priest

Hell-Cat Maggie

Hellcat 2.jpg
  • Clan: Ahrimane
  • Position: Pack Priest
  • Faction: Loyalist (Radical)
  • Status: 2 (Positional), 5 (Reputational)
  • Background: Hell-Cat Maggie was the pseudonym of an American criminal and early member of the Dead Rabbits. She was a well-known personality in Manhattan's Five Points district and a noted female fighter, her teeth reportedly filed into points and who wore long claw-like brass fingernails, who fought alongside the Dead Rabbits and other Five Pointers against rival nativist gangs from the Bowery, most especially the Bowery Boys, during the early 1840s. Although there is little information on her life, she is one of the earliest female criminals of the "Gangs of New York" era and has been compared to later criminals such as Sadie the Goat, Gallus Mag and Battle Annie, the latter leading the female auxiliary of the Gopher Gang during the 1870s.

More legend then any specific person in history, the true story if Hell-Cat Maggie is known by few. The real person who created the legend of Hell-Cat Maggie was everything the stories say. She grew up in the five points to immigrant parents. She ran a bar where she collected the ears of those who would dare cross her. And she was indeed a great fighter that led battles and gangs in the five points. It was in such one battle that the person who was Hell-Cat Maggie ceased to be and the vampire was born.

Attracting the attention of Muricia shortly after her embrace, she was granted rebirth into the Ahrimane bloodline. Her myth and legend had grown to such scale that the bloodline founder herself traveled to New York to grant the woman the ritual of the Ahrimanes. When she discovered much of her gang, the Dead Rabbits, had also been turned into vampires now part of the Sabbat; she was quick to pick up where she left off.

Since then Hell-Cat Maggie has continued to be a legend in her own right among the Sabbat of New York. Ever tied to New York, the Loyalists, and her pack, she never answered the call of her new sire when she summoned the whole of her bloodline. Whatever happened to the Ahrimanes, she doesn’t know. Few even know she is one of the last known Ahirmanes. Which is all the same to Maggie who happily tells all that meet her she is but a simple Sabbat Gangrel.

Tonight Hell-Cat Maggie spends her nights much as she always has. Defending her pack, territory, and fighting to survive. She and her pack, the Dead Rabbits, engage in nightly battles with the Bowery Boys for territory and resources. A fight that has been going on for over a hundred years and is unlikely to end any time soon.

Abbott

Black Dog

Black Dog2.jpg
  • Clan: Tzimisce
  • Position: Abbott
  • Faction: Loyalist (Rebel)
  • Status: 2 (Positional), 5 (Reputational)
  • Background: Many Cainites have been fooled by the top hat, leopard-print long coat, and general punk aesthetic of Black Dog. Those Cainites don’t often get the chance to regret that mistake, as Black Dog is one of the most notorious duelists in New York City. He never fights a Monomacy that isn’t to the death, and as stands to reason he has therefore never lost a Monomacy, but what boggles the mind is the number of the ritae he has participated in. Reports estimate that Black Dog has killed over forty-five fellow Sabbat in ritual combat, and that’s ballparking it on the low end. He lives for the moment, so while he is normally relaxed, any offered slight to his pack or support for the Bowery Boys sends Black Dog into a downward spiral that frequently ends in challenge.

Jack the Rat

Jack the rat 2.jpg
  • Clan: Nosferatu Antitribu
  • Position: True Sabbat
  • Faction: Moderates (Comrade)
  • Status: 1 (Positional), 5 (Reputational)
  • Background: Jack the Rat is a terrible monstrosity of a Cainite. His long, bird-like appendages are disconcerting to say the least, and his gaunt skeletal face clashes with the elegant length of thorny brocade he wears as a robe. In conversation, he is unflinching in the face of threats or violence, but overly emotional in regards to either good or bad news. Embraced simply because he was in the right place at the right time, his sire dragged him beneath a manhole cover one evening and returned him one week later. What happened during that week is a topic of much contention, and while Jack refused to speak on the topic himself, the set of ancient iron keys that he returned with has never left his grasp since.

Shang Allen

Shang 2.jpg
  • Clan: Ventrue antitribu
  • Position: True Sabbat
  • Faction: Loyalist (Rebel)
  • Status: 2 (Positional), 5 (Reputational)
  • Background: Shang Allen is perhaps the most modernly sensible of the Dead Rabbits. That stands to reason, as he is the only Ventrue Antitribu of the pack, and the one who most frequently interacts with mortals. Despite Black Dog being the pack’s Abbot, Shang Allen fills the responsibilities far better, a fact that he is not ignorant of. He has struggled for years to get John Morrisey to recognize him as the pack’s new Abbot, but for some reason Morrisey seems to be oblivious to his efforts. While the Dead Rabbits war with the Bowery Boys on an almost nightly basis, the time is drawing close when Shang Allen will need to either concede his goals or make moves he cannot rescind.
