Ductus

Salvatore Maranzano

Sal 2.jpg
  • Clan: Lasombra
  • Position: Ductus
  • Faction: Ecclesiastical (Legate)
  • Status: 3 (Positional), 5 (Reputational)
  • Background: The first and only ever Boss of Bosses; the life and death of the infamous Salvatore Maranzano is well known and documented throughout history. What is not well known is the hidden truth surrounding his death. After rising to power, only to be betrayed like a modern ceaser, Salvatore’s life did not end there. In truth, Maranzano and the Costa Nostra have deep ties to not only being mobsters, but a bizarre cult from Sicily. Many of the ancient rites brought over from the homeland where widely practiced and enforced by Salvatore during his reign. In truth Salvatore was a Giovanni ghoul; caught in the midst of a shadow war between his patron clan and the Lasombra. Ignorant to the true depth of his patron, Salvatore was unprepared to be betrayed by his closest friend, Charles “Lucky” Luciano who in truth was backed by the Lasonmbra to over through the Giovanni monopoly in New York. As Salvatore ruled as the King of New York, he was caught in the wake of this shadow war.

On September 10th 1931 Salvatore Maranzano was betrayed and killed. That is what the world knows anyways. His Ghoul blood kept him alive from the attack, but barely. With his death, the Giovanni stranglehold of New York was finally broken by the Lasombra and their allies. As a final insult to clan Giovanni, Salvatore was embraced in the final moments of his life. Not by a Giovanni, but by the Lasombra to take their influence from them. With Salvatore among their clan, came him his connections and deep influence. For his part, Maranzano quickly adapted into his new state of undeath quick to pick up right where left off. His sire Alfonso though, kept Salvatore’s desire to simply retake his throne in check. Alfonso took him under his wing to help show him and teach him the ways of the Lasombra and the Sabbat. Though Salvatore was forced to restrain his gumption, he was quick to adapt and learn from this new world. A Necormancer in life from the cult he was born into in Sicily, Salvatore spent his early years returning his studies and practices among the dark arts.

Pack Priest

Callisto Benedetti

Callisto 2.jpg
  • Clan: Lasombra
  • Position: Pack Priest
  • Faction: Ecclesiastical (Daimones)
  • Status: 3 (Positional), 5 (Reputational)
  • Background: Callisto Benedetti is a non-expressive man. His motivations seem to change with the wind, and that wind’s name is Salvatore. Embraced by Salvatore himself, Callisto dresses in a similar fashion to emulate his sire and boss. With a black on black suit, a red kerchief sticking out of his breast pocket, and a ring on every finger, he strikes the quintessential figure of an Italian mafioso. He was chosen for embrace to serve as Salvatore’s right hand man in the Sabbat pack he was forming, and Callisto fulfills that duty with honor. The rest of Casa Nostra know better than to cross both their boss’s yes-man and their own Priest.

Abbott

Enzo Cross

Enzo 2.jpg
  • Clan: Toreador antitribu
  • Position: Abbott
  • Faction: Ecclesiastical (Daimones)
  • Status: 2 (Positional), 5 (Reputational)
  • Background: While he appears like something straight out of a video game, Enzo Cross actually predates any such iconography. His bald head, sunglasses, and black suit are original from before he was embraced, and he dual wields revolvers with such precision that he rarely if ever needs to reload. Enzo is methodical in his approach to everything in unlife, making him the obvious choice for his pack’s Abbot. To all things that are not orders from his boss or requests from his packmates, he is dismissive, which makes him rather annoying to work with in the Ecclesiastical Faction.

Marino Benenati

Marino 2.jpg
  • Clan: Nosferatu antitribu
  • Position: True Sabbat
  • Faction: Ecclesiastical (Daimones)
  • Status: 1 (Positional), 5 (Reputational)
  • Background: The only appearance Marino Benenati ever shows to the public, even his own packmates, is that of his pre-embrace. He was quite attached to his strong jawline, sinister goatee and pointed beard, and his deep widow’s peak. It made him look quite distinguished, and he intends to maintain that reputation even in unlife. Among his pack, he is blunt and can sometimes be inadvertently hurtful. Among others, he is blameful and often purposefully so. His interactions with the Nosferatu of the city are sparse at best, which is unfortunate for them since Marino winds up in possession of a lot of information the local Nosferatu would kill to gain first access to.

Pietro Costa

Pietro 2.jpg
  • Clan: Malkavian antitribu
  • Position: True Sabbat
  • Faction: Ecclesiastical (Daimones)
  • Status: 1 (Positional), 5 (Reputational)
  • Background: Among all his packmates, Pietro Costa took most readily to the aesthetic of being an undead mobster. He embraces all the stereotypes, including the Trilby, the tommy gun, and the cigar. His sire considers Pietro’s choice of pack to be wasteful. His embrace came after Pietro solved a difficult puzzle his sire had left out as a test, and the mind that could solve such a puzzle being spent toiling away for the mafia is a tragedy as far as he is concerned. Despite his pretentiousness, Pietro’s timid demeanor has landed him at the bottom of the totem pole in terms of pack dynamic and family dynamic both, and he is often the one sent out to complete jobs for Salvatore.
