About Kings of New York

New York, the city that never sleeps. A crown jewel, the center of the western world. It is home to many kinds: rich and poor, strong and weak, and every kind of person you can imagine, the playground of all things. It is in this setting that naturally brings an idea that anything is possible, light and dark.

New York City is the setting and place for Kings of New York, a Vampire the Masquerade Live-Action Roleplaying Game, centering around the Sabbat. What is a Live-Action Roleplaying Game (shortened to LARP or larp)? It is a game wherein which you play a character of your design in a set setting, "live" (as in person) with other people who do the same. For us, this setting is New York City as described in White Wolf/Onyx Path's World of Darkness (in particular, the gameline known as Vampire the Masquerade).

Our game, Kings of New York, has been playing continuously (roughly) since 2000. We play in the collective organization known as One World by Night. We welcome new players all the time and if you would like to know more, please contact us and feel free to look around this site.

For more information about the World of Darkness, you can find much information online. One particularly useful resource is the White Wolf Wiki, a fan-created repository of much of what has been written. It is a great introduction, at the very least. For more in-depth information, you can find many of the books (look for "Revised" Edition) on Amazon and other online retailers. The books for the Revised Edition are out of print, but can be found used at low prices.

Most importantly, this is a game and we run it so that you can have fun! Our players are our priority and we want you to enjoy pretending to be a vampire. We know it sounds a little silly at times, pretending to be a vampire on a Saturday night, but we pride ourselves in being one of the biggest games in One World by Night. We're here to make sure you have a good time!

Kings of New York (KoNY for short) plays every 4th Saturday. For directions, please see the location page. For our house rules, please see here.

Note: You must be 18 years of age or older to play in Kings of New York.
