Captain Isabella “Black Tempest” De Leon

• Background: Born in 1782 to a wealthy merchant family in Cadiz, Spain, Isabella De Leon grew up amidst tales of seafaring adventures and naval battles. She defied societal expectations, sneaking aboard her father’s ships and learning the art of navigation, swordplay, and commerce. Her rebellious nature found its outlet when her family’s fleet was destroyed by pirates, leaving her family destitute. Harboring a thirst for revenge and freedom, she turned to piracy herself, quickly earning a reputation as a cunning and ruthless captain.

Isabella’s exploits drew the attention of a Lasombra Cainite named Alejandro Vargas, who admired her ferocity and control over her crew. Seeing potential in her mastery of leadership and her defiance of societal norms, Alejandro Embraced Isabella in 1812 after a brutal storm claimed her ship. Emerging from the Abyss itself, she felt reborn as a predator of the night and found new meaning in the Sabbat’s ideals. Her hunger for dominance and chaos aligned perfectly with the sect’s philosophy, and she quickly rose through the ranks, mastering the art of Obtenebration to strike terror into her enemies.

Over the centuries, Isabella adapted to changing times. By World War II, she commandeered a German U-boat during a daring raid, her pack slaughtering the vessel’s crew and converting the submersible into a Sabbat warship. Renaming it The Abyssal Wraith, she and her nomadic pack carved a reputation as terrorizers of the seas, using their vessel to raid Camarilla-controlled coastal cities, hijack shipping lanes, and spread chaos in the name of Caine.

The Abyssal Wraith frequently surfaces near New York City, a hub of Sabbat activity and opportunity. Isabella trades illicit goods, recruits new blood, and gathers intelligence on Camarilla movements. Hell’s Kitchen serves as a favored port, where she meets with allies and plots daring raids. Isabella has a strained alliance with Sabbat leaders in the city, as her unpredictable nature and nomadic ways sometimes clash with their territorial ambitions.

Pack Priest

Dragomir “Iron Maw” Vasile

• Background: Born in 1706 in the Carpathian Mountains, Dragomir Vasile was the son of a blacksmith and an alchemist. Fascinated by the intersection of metalwork and biology, he spent his mortal years studying both the forging of weapons and the mysteries of the human body. This led to dark experiments that earned him the suspicion and ire of his village. Accused of sorcery, Dragomir fled to the coast, where he joined a crew of mercenaries who blended piracy with black-market alchemy. His skill in crafting weapons and poisons made him invaluable, though his obsession with bodily perfection alienated him from his mortal comrades.

Dragomir’s talents eventually caught the attention of a wandering Tzimisce named Katalin, who sought an apprentice to further her own twisted experiments. Embracing him in 1732, she exposed Dragomir to the wonders of Vicissitude and the Sabbat’s philosophy. Under Katalin’s tutelage, Dragomir became a master of fleshcrafting, seeing the human form as nothing more than raw material to be perfected. However, his obsession with piracy never waned, and he left Katalin’s domain to seek his own path on the seas.

Dragomir encountered Captain Isabella De Leon in the early 1900s, when her pack raided a Camarilla-controlled port in Eastern Europe. Recognizing her strategic brilliance and shared thirst for freedom, Dragomir offered his services as a pack priest, blending his mastery of Vicissitude with his understanding of Sabbat theology. His role aboard The Abyssal Wraith is twofold: he serves as the spiritual guide for the Abyssal Revenants, preaching the glory of transformation and the Sabbat’s divine mission, and as the pack’s surgeon, repairing and enhancing their bodies for the endless war against the sect’s enemies.

• Background: Another one of Polonia's Loyal Paladin's; Lorenzo is not often seen as the muscle of the Cardinal. Lorenzo's specialty is information. He is seen as something of the head of the Nosferatu Antitribu in the city. He moves in the shadows making deals with nearly any vampire for information that be of use to his Cardinal. While not a native to New York in Life; Lorenzo has made the city his home for over a century. When interacting with other members of the Sabbat, he presents the more political side to Polonia's office. It is even rumored he has direct connections to Calebros of the Nosferatu himself.

Lupo

• Background: Some Sabbat wonder if Lupo is one of the infamous Abominations. His temper is legendary and he appears more wolf than man anymore. When Polonia needs something killed; he sends Lupo. For his part, Lupo loves to hunt and kill then anything else. He is a simple if not bestial vampire. His personality is either grunts or a few words at best. He is often seen only at the moment something dies. Who or what Lupo was in life is anyone's guess. As long as the Cardinal keeps him entertained with new things to hunt and kill; Lupo seems more then happy to keep working for the Cardinal.

Don Medina Sidonia

• Background: In his unlife, the former duke of Medina Sidonia quickly proved himself a brilliant tactician, determined to erase the shame from his defeat in the Channel. His great success as a Lasombra granted his sire ascension into the ranks of Les Amies Noir and himself great prestige for war efforts coordinated by him from New York to Manila.

The Don has maintained his hatred against Britain and strives to see its destruction. He also has a grudge against a Ventrue named Parma, who was a former mercenary who deserted the Armada and joined the British.

Goratrice

• Status: 1 (Positional), 1 (Reputational)
• Background: In 1999 the elder Tremere and legendary traitor Goratrix saw a vision, a warning, of his own death. Growing ever paranoid Goratrix devised a contingency plan should his visions prove right. Using the potent thaumaturgical ritual, Asymmetrical Reproduction, and combining it with potent Thaumaturgy ritual he created the first clone of himself. The result was born from a vat of mystical blood and tass. Thus, Goratrice was born. Due to the efforts of the Sabbat of New York, Goratice's entire destiny and purpose changed. She shifted from an obsession with consuming Goratrix to being free for the first time. This oddity of the world of darkness, and potent elder, was inducted into the Sword of Caine and quickly taken by Cardinal Polonia into his pack and oversight.
