			* Background: The unfortunate circumstances surrounding Father Flynn’s embrace are somewhat ironic. He was a priest serving in a New York City parish late one evening when a Ventrue Antitribu with a feeding restriction for religious leaders approached him. Father Flynn would have died, had it not been for his assailant’s lack of caution and the faithful parishioner who pulled out a gun and took a chunk of the monster’s skull off. The Ventrue Antitribu fled into the night, but the blood from the wound embraced Father Flynn, Nearly a year later, he entered the local esbat dressed in a tweed vest and an overcoat, gray hair pushed back and a golden rosary hanging from his neck, and killed his murderer in single combat; Monomacy. Since then, he has formed a pack of likewise faithful Sabbat, and they tend to the Order of Saint Blaise’s business in the city under the name Vengeance Alights.

			* Background: Even though she knew it wasn’t a good idea, the Cainite who would take the name Scorchio had no choice but to travel through a bad neighborhood at night while returning from evening classes. She stopped to get a bite from a fast food restaurant, and to seek refuge in its lights and customers, but that was where she was taken. After hours of torture that left her with scars from her lips up both cheeks and a pair across her eyebrow, she was saved and embraced by an Assamite Antitribu patrolling their territory. She considered their intervention to be an act of God, and dedicated her unlife to his service. Her embrace turned her eyes red, and she usually covers up most of her scars with a nun’s habit and sunglasses, but the scars are still visible to anyone who looks closely enough.

			* Background: Beatrix Parker was a poor woman, but despite that she was loving, open-minded, and genuinely helpful. One evening while returning home from church, she was accosted by a member of Clan Lasombra on the Path of Night. Beatrix displayed all the qualities that the Path of Night tests for in humanity, but the encounter went wrong and Beatrix was grievously wounded. To save her life and salvage their morality, the Lasombra embraced her and fled into the night. When the Sabbat found her, Father Flynn took her into his pack, as she had been a member of the parish he once preached at. In unlife, Beatrix has taken the opportunity to grow. She has embraced strength, so that she might prevent the things that happened to her from happening to others.

			* Background: Rhys Williams has been a member of the Order of Saint Blaise in New York City since the Sabbat claimed control of it. He is a well-muscled black man, seemingly in his late twenties, and he prefers muscle shirts, tank tops, and anything else that generally shows off his physique. His dedication to Christianity has set him at odds with most other members of his Clan, and his childe Scorchio is one of the few exceptions in that regard. He tends to think long and hard before making decisions, and that extends to physical confrontation if he can help it. Though he comes across as bad-mannered and bad-tempered, his demeanor is merely a front to keep others away from him so that he doesn’t hurt them by accident. His self-control is not what he wishes it were.
